Blue, Thanks for the posting of articles. Will try and keep any resentment of Fed to a minimum. I was more in favor of raising margin requirements v. interest rates. No prejudice against investing at all levels, provided the subject company is a proven entity. Xoma has yet to demonstrate the characteristics of a Merck or Amgen. Waiting for the data.

So the baboons infused with E. coli & given rBPI21 were in much better shape after 2 hrs. according to the study.

And you're also implying that the fear of antibiotic treatment for gastrointestinal disorders is holding back FDA approval/acceptance of a BLA for BPI ?

BTW the BBH & BTK (and Nazzdog) bounced yesterday at or near the lowest levels since Nov/Dec/Jan.

Bluegreen, E.Coli 0157 could not be control by bpi, the mild and moderate cases do not need anything but oral or IV rehydration, peptobismol is as good (and probably better) than any antibiotic.

The main problem is Acute Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome(HUS), reports keep coming to this thread over the years, same as the West coast hamburger (Jack in the box?)and juice companies related cases,

HUS is an EXOTOXIN, not endotoxins which are the bpi target.
Most of the time bacteria never reach the bloodstream, the EXOTOXIN does.

Even peptobismol could beat a problem that xometimes bpi could not.
