Hate to me feels like extreme anger. I don't find it fear based in all cases. Anger is powerful. Anger can accomplish things. Hating the Nazis held the resistance in France together. Hating the Nazis bound the English tightly together so they could survive the Blitz and all the other terrible consequences of WWII. We can see that hate binds- of course this binding is a problems when you don't need such binding.

Hating outsiders is what many religions are about. OF course they don't call it hate- but you can get the sense of it. Or I should say I can.

I can't control what I am going to feel before I feel it. I can only recognize my feelings and deal with them. I sort them, I examine them, and I decide which to act upon and how to redirect emotions that I cannot make "go away". If you think you can eliminate the feeling of hate from your life- I can't say you can't. I can only say your experience of the world is completely foreign to mine.
