The market cap of the S&P 500 is somewhere around $11.5T. I agree that $1.7T seems UFB. The estimate was for worldwide liquidity on the sidelines. Bull dream?

I think that there is NO way to calclate actall bying power. However that power is irrelevent if peoples psychology has been kicked in. There is also 6-8% yields to be had risk free. So that cash will go to Debt as well as eqity.

I was told by paine webber that there are large Hose calls to be sent for nargined players. Those calls have 3 days to be done. If there is no rally then we will have another downdraft on tesday.
