Hy, OT, Intel has stated that their 32 bit line of microprocessors will coexist with 64 bit æPs for 5 to 10 years (heard 5 years one time, 10 another). So, Pentium IIIs, then Pentium IVs for sure (Willamette codename), Pentium Vs? will be available for desktops, workstations and small servers for a long, long time, or at least a long time as far as time is measured in this industry. Willamette has already been demoed at 1.4 GHZ, will come out in full production at over a GHz. That is certainly fast enough for anything we should be doing in the next five years. If it's not, they should go over 2 GHz sometime in 2003, if you believe in Moore's Law, which has held since 1967.
