OT....There were rumors about a rumor spreading through Wall Street that rumors were a method by which people invested. Seems that the rumor alluded to certain rumors about the investing methods of the rumor-minded.
Allegedly, the rumor system would work like this:
A rumor would get started by a rumor mill about the
possibility of rumors spreading about impending news
for a certain stock. So the rumor would spread that
"rumor has it that XYZ has rumored news coming!"
So investors would react to the rumor and spread rumors
about the merits of the rumor for XYZ should the rumors
proved true. So the investors would buy on the rumor.
Then, a rumor would spread that the previous rumor has
been rumored to be false....while another rumor would
spread that the previous rumor about the falseness of
the previously thought false rumor was in fact true....

Confused? Heck, so am I. So let's sell on the news of the rumor about the falseness of the previously true rumor being false....

Sorry for the confusion.
