I for one am not disappointed that the analysts have started to downgrade projections. With the news yesterday there will be a dark cloud over the stock for some time. I only hope the number will not be quite as bad as the warnings projected. If that is the case we could see a slight rebound in July when the actual numbers come out. Otherwise this 'buying opportunity' could last into October, when the results will start to show some of the high end Radeon shipments. The good news from the downgrades is that the company can't help but exceed the projections. This is a stock to hold for the longer term. I'm convinced that the moves toward diversifying into e-appliances and HDTV are good. If one analyses some of the carcasses left on the road from other graphics outfits, a lack of R&D and a failure to diversify seem to be a pattern. I'm also impressed that they chose to take a margin kicking and hang on to their customer base. It's always better to have satisfied customers than to try and have to win them back. But it did take my breath away to watch a brand new tournament ski boat evaporate from my portfolio.
Marc, where are you at? Your reassurances in this list has been of a great help to us all in the past.
Ron

The analysts were all wrong on the way up. Why would you believe them when they downgrade the stock...
