Mr. M.C. McLeod reports
The initial drill hole, into the recent discovery of a surface outcrop of
mineralization, in an unusual coarse gabbroic rock, traced for a strike
length of 1,000 feet, intersected a 35-foot zone of enriched platinum,
palladium and gold values, from 75 feet to 110 feet, with palladium values
increasing at depth.

Drilling, in the mineralized gabbro, is to continue 800 feet to the north,
testing for continuity of the platinum, palladium and gold mineralization.
Flag and Golden Briar's consulting field geologist, P.A.R. Brown, has
recommended two drill holes, to determine the dip of the mineralization and
to determine in which direction the values increase.
The mineralized gabbro structure is located 3,000 feet southwest of the
Rathbun Lake Occurrence, a surface lens of massive sulphides.
Under the terms of a confidentiality agreement with Flag, Inco Limited, in
July, 1999, took representative grab samples from the rock dump of a
prospectors shaft, sunk on the massive sulphide lens. Best assay results
were 22.83 per cent copper, 2.18 per cent nickel, 17.7 grams (.51 of an
ounce) platinum, 65 grams (1.89 ounces) palladium and 2.7 grams (0.086 of
an ounce) gold per ton (source: XRAL Laboratories, Don Mills, Ont.,
Canada).
In addition to the new discovery of platinum, palladium and gold, the
recently completed induced polarization survey, has outlined several drill
targets, south and east of the mineralized gabbro structure.
The declared short position on Flag is 99,000 shares.
