"I think he meant "punitive" in a legal sense"

Sometimes I get news and don't know for sure if it's good news or bad news. When that happens the stock movement will determine that for me. The stock movement today is telling the market the cnbc news late yesterday was bad news. Some people were wondering if a breakup into 3 parts is worse than 2 parts. Now they know. Therefore, in a legal sense, breaking up msft into 3 parts is more punitive than being broke up into 2 parts. JH
