Sonny --Good afternoon --I heard a second house today say they saw signs that economy is slowing down ( MSDW I believe ) . Hope they are right and give us a chance for us to recoup some .
If Goldman is right about the payoff of the Treasury debt by 2007 the following would be some interesting scenarios :
1)The dollar would really be very strong which would make our exports very weak unless you increase productivity which increases the need for technology ( Sonny interesting point here ---Did you hear MCdonalds can make a batch of Fries in a minute and half with a new system they have developed without effecting the taste )
2)How would the FED control the financial markets ? I guess with raising overnight loans to the banks ---would be interesting to see how this would be done
3)Would lower borrowing costs for US companies dramatically because they would not have to compete against the government for capital thus increasing profits
4) Finally would give Social Security a chance to truly become solvent
ON and ON --will talk to later

BEST WISHES
