Given this position, what does a thoughtful and seemingly ethical person such as yourself see as his purpose in life and why?

LRR,
According to the dictionary, a soul is not necessarily a spiritual thing. It is "The animating and vital principle in the human being, credited with the faculties of thought, action, and emotion and often conceived as an immaterial entity." The primary concern of Christians is that their souls be saved. Having a soul is not a religious idea. If one thinks, acts, and feels emotions, he has a soul. ~H~
