No sh*t.

That's the beauty of a stradle. Say you buy a AMD June 70 call for $6 and buy a AMD June 70 put for $5.50

It doesn't matter if it goes up or down, it just has to move.

Can you see AMD sitting still for the next 3 weeks? If the Naz tanks to 2500, you make money. Naz recovers to 4000, you make money.

The only thing that makes it like day trading is you have to watch closely and pick a time to exit, but it doesn't matter if it goes up or down.
