I am not getting my hopes up too high. This isn't a good year for AMD. People got their hopes up for being able to upgrade to the K6-2+ found out that became a mobile processor. And then we find out most KX133 motherboards won't work with Thunderbird, which won't even be available in slot form for non-OEMs. While these decisions are good for us shareholders, it sucks for the end user looking to upgrade. I guess one can't have it all. "You'll probably want to wait for DDR too don't you think?" I don't know if you caught my post the other day, but I'll repeat the jist of what I wanted. I would like to see a motherboard maker make a motherboard design a motherboard that will work with PC133 and DDR SDRAM. Like two slots for each. That way, I can use my current RAM, and later on upgrade to DDR. Ali will probably be the first out with a DDR capable chipset, but we don't know how good it will be. Afterall, it is their first Athlon chipset. And AMD's 760 may not come out until Mustang, but I don't what to wait that long. There is always VIA's but we don't know when that will come out. Heheh, I'm too demanding. ;) And to limit OT posts, "I'm a Schwab customer, voted around the 20th I think (www.proxyvote.com). Are you happy with the outcome of the vote?" I guess I just got unlucky with getting my proxy. Yeah, I'm happy with the vote. And I am glad they didn't delcare one today.
