I wonder how Gateway can "probably double" procurements from AMD, when AMD has been sold out for the quarter for quite some time. Something is fishy here. Pravin, Being sold out was a rumor. Sanders corrected that by saying a couple of weeks ago that AMD was nearly sold out. ted

Pravin, I think AMD denied the rumors at the beginning of the quarter that Athlons were sold out. Only K6 family. Joe

I think so as AMD out of sync on neg. side yesterday with market indices, in sync today, out of sync on positive side tomorrow? Every reason (all is outstandingly positive, with S&P upgrade, positive outcome on vote today and this unbelievably outstanding endorsement fro GTW) to believe that will be the case! One of these days it'll break out of the gates and not turn back!

As per the Gateway statement, they are moving a good number of their product mix towards AMD. My guess is that the new SKUs would include Duron and Thunderbird based systems.
