Well I for one hope it does happen soon - can almost feel the bottom now, It'd be nice to finally get there. The rallies are ending quicker and with smaller pops.....I rarely go short(still practicing on paper), so it's been getting tougher and tougher to make money the past 2 weeks as any bear rally is extinct quite quickly.

FWIW, I've never been less than 50% cash in the last 2 months at any time.....Many times I've been all cash. Holding just PXLW's now which in retrospect I should have traded out of at 14 1/2 a few days ago and entered again either tomorrow or next week. My buy-in is the 10's however, I'll add to it if it gets back there, and my guess is it'll pay off nicely over the next 2-3 weeks....So I'll take my temporary lumps on that one if you are indeed correct.

About 70% cash at the moment.

I copied this from another board and I hope the person doesn't mind but it brings to the forefront the very real possibility there are many holding as this person, who thought they were safe but now are in a real vise. How many more down days will people like this hang on-2 days,3 days,5 days,2 weeks,a month,...

I guess I am a new investor looking for some guidance from you expierenced Investors I am totaly confused by this market it seems as every day goes by I say what kind of fools are selling their Csco for 51.00 and their Orcl for 62.00 only to see it continue to drop every single day with out a lot of fundemental differences in the stocks It seems quite apparant to this dummy that with most tech investors that have gotten into the mkt in the past year being wiped out that spending has to slow down and there fore it is only a matter of time before the fed is thru with the job they have started such as 25 basis points in June and finished I sure dont know where the bottom is I am one that bought Orcl at 72.00 and Jdsu at 90.00 but it seems it has to be before the Nas hits 2500.00 but of course there are doom and gloomers all of the time unfortunality this time so fat they have been right I beleive that with in 12months we will be looking back on this and wish we would have done anything possible to raise cash to get in the leading techs such as TXN CSCO AMAT JDSU and Orcle Just one persons opinion that has seen my portfolio drop 65,000.00 in a little over a week any comments appreciated Good luck tomorrow guess with everybody still selling we will need it

My entry for the contest is Bi-Polar Friday.

Wild swings today, I think.
Initial rally this a.m.
There will be tension between three day weekend blues
and the thought that, traditionally, the Tuesday
after a three day weekend is an up day. Some will
want to position for that, others will want to go
home in mostly cash due to market induced paranoia.
(But remember, even paranoids have real enemies-ggg)

Since the market itself has been bi-polar on many
levels, why not name the day accordingly.

I wonder if St. Johns Wort would help---ggg.
