As I understand it, it means ATHM picks up M1's subscribers immediately. M-1 has 278,000 cable modem subs on 3/31/2000.

Every little bit helps.

Also, it seems that T has 18 months to get rid of RR. The obvious move would be to sell their RR interest to TWX/AOL.

The deal wheels are churning hard. I think T always wanted ownership rights to RR so they could use it as a bargaining chip with AOL. It seems they got what they wanted but the deal has to be done in 18 months.

Maybe something like selling RR ownership to TWX/AOL and getting phone access rights in return. All kinds of things possible.
