DelphcOracl, FWIW, I think QCOM will fill the gap you see in this chart in the 55-60 area, and then the selling will be over. I took the run with this stock last summer/fall and jumped off at 550, having originally planned to jump off at 375-400, but modifying when Q fever took hold. In my wildest imagination, I never dreamed it would go to 800! Still, I've made a fine income over the years from selling too soon. Unfortunately, Q's been paying the price for that "irrational exuberance" since January. QCOM is still an excellent story, and I know I'll be loading up again if it visits that gap.

Have maintained performance over past three weeks, dead even bu swing trading QCOM, SUNW, LOR and COMS. The only way to go in this market. Sold QCOM today at $82 which was the high. Bought it at $70. Will buy it back on any dip from here. Also bought T at 33 3/4. VOD should do well. Retailers great longterm buys. SUNW below 70 a great buy. Yo-yo action gives you nice trading range for 10% scalps. Wish to hell this thing would bottom out and rise though, some of the prices are really low.

I agree with qcom filling the gap at a minimum. This is still a momentum driven market and if the momentum is down. It might go a lot farther than anyone had thought or wanted.

O/T My impression is that most folks on this thread will not mess with trading stocks options. Regardless, I do want to share one aspect on selling covered calls that I now understand well that could apply to people who do not want to sell stocks and get hit with taxes in their taxable brokerage accounts. Other than using puts, one can sell deep in the money covered calls when greed is high on the stock and or the market as a whole. Downside protection can be big e.g. 30% or more.

Enough of my thoughts on cc's. I will save any discussion of cc's from here on for Poet & Jill's option thread and V's Porch thread.

Best regards,

Bob
