I really don't know what to make of this guy. He says he doesn't even use a computer. He acts completely ignorant to technology. As far as what goes on in the back room, I think he knows his sht pretty well. IF what he says in public is true, SUNW is in BIG trouble. He's publicly stated many times that the performance of their systems is not important, it's a total package deal. Well, now a 24-way S80 beats a 64-way E10000, you can only push that "perfomance isn't important" so far. Personally, I don't buy it. I think he's in the back room with his engineers pounding his fists on the table declaring "where the fck is my UltraSparcIII!!!" I've got to hand it too him, he probobly deals with the press better than any other CEO. Like I said, I think the server market is WIDE open now. If AMD ever gets those SMP boards out from API, we could enter the server market. chic
