Yougang, Thanks for that most informative post.

I've walking around in a daze for the last ten days or so muttering (not always to myself) "can someone please tell me what the **** is going on here. Your post helped a lot.

On the downside, a down day with HUGE volume shows that the bears are buying almost as quickly as the bulls are selling, preventing any even sharper drop off that the
bears would prefer. Meeting such strong resistance, the bears, for the most part, "give up", and the bulls are free to attempt the next rally.

Yougang;

Your post is a consummate explanation for the current scenario re AMD and its stock. Couple of pts of clarification: in the paragraph above did you mean to say the bears are buying as fast as the bulls are selling?

In addition would you not agree that AMD was making a fairly strong attempt to rally today but failed when the general markets tanked? I think the high volume also can be attributed to the fact that the attempted rally failed....people bought the stock because of the rally but jumped when they saw it fail. Clearly the rally attempt wasn't strong enough to withstand the downward pull of the DOW and the Naz.

Finally, since tomorrow is a Friday before a long weekend, don't you think that AMD's next rally attempt will be on Monday while tomorrow it will move sideways more or less?

Ted, ajb: The author of that post is from fool board and that post is very informative from TA standpoint.

I am not sure whether tomorrow will give us the rally as the author suggested. But today's price action does have the tone of price stablization. That's all I can hope for at this moment.

"Nothing Wrong with AMD" is the single most important factor that gets me sleep soundly at night.
