I was thinking the same, and did some buying of beaten down stocks this afternoon. Last time I bought when everyone was selling I did well. Just got back online from around 7:00, watching the Knicks who beat my Heat. Good luck Kevin, looks like We are the contrarians here.

Today was a complete joke that the market sold off due to a pre-earnings warning from the crooks or all crooks, GS. Should anyone be surprised? IPO's are nonexistent these days, and trade volumes are at major lows!!!! Hell, these big brokerage houses make their money on IPO's

Serves 'em right since I believe they were co conspirators in trying <and succeeding> to break the Naz. No doubt to try to direct the capital to their loser Dow stocks so they could stand to look at themselves in the mirror again.
Maybe someone at CNBC will tell those guys that their constantly repeated mantra, The Daytraders are finally gone is why their precious GS is going in the toilet.
These guys ain't too bright.

Might be some eom window dressing/portfolio adjusting going on tomorrow.
Ya just never know...

Picked up a little BVSN near the close

Fred

>>...."I can't believe the market went up day."<<

Thanks, Kevin. Loved the reference to Phil Niekro... there's plenty of screwball & and a few gooball days lately, isn't there?

You may be right. Manipulation is way easy on such low volume and they could be holding back the capitulation finale to surprise us. (Oh for joy. I do so love dead roses.)

Longer term, your analysis pretty much mirrors my thoughts. Contrary to prevailing wisdom, both oil prices and interest rates do impact NASDAQ.

As for volume, we'll see plenty next week. I might skip trading & study instead; clues will abound.

Kevin
