Voltaire,

Well, here's hoping I can make it thru this valley. I hate to ask this but do you have any guesses about how low we go?

"Life is Strange"/QCOM is stranger

All the talk on the "Diamond" thread this evening has convinced me, Tom, that the blood on the street is getting ready to be cleaned up from the recent full-fledged assault on Qualcomm. When the topic turns to the value of a corporation and whether it's market cap is becoming attractive enough to cause it be acquired, even hostilely, institutional buyers, it seems to me, must be lurking in the background and a bottom must be imminent.

CDMA is clearly on the horizon in China. The phone structure there necessitates the best technology. With PNTR passing the House, all systems are "go" in China.

How low can Qualcomm go? Seriously, Tom! Isn't this getting almost fictional?

Finally, Tom, why would SSB, one of the most respected Houses on Wall Street, be targetting Qualcomm for $200 at a time like this?

This is all becoming stranger than fiction. But then again, many great philosophers have frequently noted that life is indeed stranger than fiction.

Just porchin' (and not enjoying the view these days),
John

Thanks for the update Voltaire. I have sold some QCOM and may sell more and put the money in more active stocks like ELON. Do you feel that ELON is the best for writing CCs to collect income? I would like to take my QCOM proceeds and write ATM CCs on stocks that pay high premiums and not watch the market and just collect the premium.

TIA

David
