Not that it makes a whole lot of difference except in a religious viewpoint but, I think those that do not believe in God, don't like any kind of religion, or are just agnostic, want to believe that there is no soul outside of religion. What then, makes a human anything but an animal operating only under the influence of the id? Could the concept of a soul not be something like the superego, that seeks to strike a balance between the ego and the id, be considered the same as a non-religious soul?

I still am unsettled by the disregard for the definitions in a dictionary. It seems to me, that the meaning of a word (AKA definition)is the truth conveyed by use of that particular word. If one uses a word contrary to it's meaning, is that one not skirting around the truth of the word? ~H~
