Dave and thread: I find the Intel cash infusion into Hyundai the most interesting "rumor" of the day. I hope if Intel does open its wallet yet again, as I fully expect it to, to get that RDRAM that this time it makes sure the fabs actually produce what Intel wants! (no more Micron type investments). If the cash infusion also takes the form of guaranteed purchase orders from OEMS or Intel itself, then we will start to see the lines get running! I think Intel is the one who blinked, but it is often hard to tell until a long time after a negotiation like this.

Dave:

We know we are "winning" when the laypress starts talking...I think I'll buy a subscription to the Miami Herald!

I'm shocked, shocked that they didn't advocate for DDR (g).

It's Mom and Pop (or "Bubba", if you like) who will make the buying decisions here, ladies and gentlemen, and not some frustrated memory design engineers or short-of-margin memory producers. Thank Davidow and RMBS management for that. I LIKE the way they have pushed themselves into the industry!
