Up very early, unfortunately. I spent the entire day yesterday at my "part time" job. This time on my feet all day... a killer.

Brought a bunch of paper work home with me, but got more interested in the Avalanche - Stars game. Home work suffered worse than the Stars. So, it's outa bed at 0330 this AM to hit the books. Gonna be another long "part time" job again today, with one of the crew of two off for the long weekend.

Back to our biz. Fast or Slow stoch? I figured MAX was just what you said - a crossover. I put both a fast and slow 5d stoch on a BVSN chart with WOW. Fast whipsaws your socks off. Slow flows along rather nicely, but still would have you making some trades in the middle of March when it would have been wiser to just stay short.

However, at that time BVSN was posting daily moves of 6-10 points and that could have been profitable (and was) for your hourly trading.

So, the obvious task is to realize that we're talking two very different styles. EOD won't generate the activity that hourly will. The holds will certainly be longer. With the correct stable, the profits ought to be greater and commissions far less. Not sure what longer holds will mean to margin costs. You may have a thought there. My margin holds have never exceeded 2 days.
