Hi Poet & Jill - Jill I agree the market does what it wants and is largely unpredictable. TA is what I'm drawn to and I've found it helpful for guidelines - gotta have something to cling to! Never had much faith in fundamentals: they always seem to be so much more manipulable, though sure TA can be in its own ways. I must say TA has been less useful lately (hasn't everything?!), but still gives some signposts I think.

Poet, I made a bunch on QCOM last year with everyone else, but for quite a while it's just looked too dangerous to me (TA-wise, of course), and still looks that way. I'm long a handful of small positions that I almost wish I wasn't most of the time (ADBE, NOK, OXHP, PRSW, & others, long-term holder of bigger chunks of CSCO, EMC, MSFT). Looking at VSH, SYMC & others to buy but God knows when.

Thanks for asking <g>.
