By the way, did you ever think back to the scene in "Godfather II" where Hyman Roth says that all it would take is an ambitious young man and a lot of money to bankroll him, and the Mob could have their own president? Of course, one first thinks of Giancana, and the rumor that the Chicago mob hit JFK because he didn't "pay up" after they helped him steal West Virginia and Cook County (elaborated in "Ruby", a film with Danny Aiello). But then one remembers Hot Springs, which was a hang out for mobsters..........
