you're talking about the semi-equipment book-to-bill ratio, which has been dropping slightly month-on-month.

this ratio is always at a high just as the semi cycle tops out...that's due to the lag in the manufacturing ramp-up, which is in full swing in Asia.

btw, the report mainly blames the drop-off in semiconductor and electronic equipment orders on the 'shortage' of chips.

i'm sure this shortage is the reason why DRAM prices are near all time lows....:)
