RADVision V2oIP(TM) Technology Deployed by Talk Visual in First Commercial Next-Gen Video Service
Global Video-Over-ISDN to Video-Over-IP Bridging Service Built Around RADVision's L2W-323 Gateway and NGK-100 Gatekeeper
MAHWAH, N.J., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- RADVision Inc. (Nasdaq: RVSN), the leading provider of award-winning, industry-standard products and technology for real-time voice and video communication over IP, and Talk Visual Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: TVCP) today announced that RADVision's market leading V2oIP Family of Enterprise Networking Products are at the core of the first commercial video bridging service, recently unveiled by Talk Visual Corporation.
This new global service enables any ISDN videoconference call to be "bridged" to any IP or ISDN video-enabled desktop system -- anywhere in the world. For the first time in telecommunications history, corporate and individual users can place a videocall to almost any city in the world, with operator mediation, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
The new Talk Visual service is built around RADVision's L2W-323 Gateway and NGK-100 Gatekeeper. This equipment enables the thousands of H.320-based ISDN legacy video systems worldwide and H.323-compliant IP-based systems to connect to one another. This unique inter-operational telecom service dramatically reduces costs by using the IP network.
"As providers of innovative technology for next-generation networks, we are delighted to be working with Talk Visual to shape the future of widespread, reliable and affordable video communications over IP," said Dan Acquafredda, VP Sales at RADVision. "RADVision is committed to providing telecom and IP communication pioneers with market proven, trend setting IP/ISDN solutions for converged voice/video/data services that create new revenue opportunities and save telecom and data transmission costs."
From Talk Visual headquarters in Miami, Florida, President and CEO Eugene Rosov said today, "Working with RADVision's knowledgeable and competent staff of experts has been a great experience. They are a first-rate partner in terms of technology, know-how and collaborative spirit. We believe that the RADVision technology is light-years ahead of any other supplier."
Talk Visual charges 99 cents per minute for bridging an inbound videocall (either ISDN or IP) to any ISDN or (static) IP location in the United States. A modest per-call setup fee of $3.00 to $5.00 is assessed. The service is available to public videocall rooms, private and public corporations, and individuals worldwide. Additional per-minute fees apply to international videocalls. Talk Visual operators will arrange and setup calls between the endpoints for all customers.
