NR - Newpark Rescources ; Load thy Laggard NOW ! ...rumor that large Govmt "mat" order that we've waited on since March is finally done - announced soon. This is the new mat the the US Govmt was testing in something like 6 different Global Locations etc... May get a chance to beat the news & pick up a quick $3 move imho. NR should be $10 ish here - was in the June 99 rally - $9 a month ago etc. This is still one of the great laggards & a longtime thread fav - small cap. Some of the other thread fav sm cap laggards have made their move - KEG, SESI etc - NR was $9+ in April and $10.69 on the June 1999 summer move = 20% - 35% gap closing upside (40% to 70% for you margin junkies (VBG). Stock moved in a nice 45 degree angle up the chart from $5 to $20+ in the last Oilpatch Expansion Cycle - SESI NR UFAB GIFI et al will once again.... I think NR upon conformation of this order - moves nicely, initial resistance should be the $10 5/8ths of 6/99; from there it rides the Boom 2000-2001 expansion - drilling fluids, mud, mat rental & haz mat disposal - all ramps with drilling & we are entering the most significant ramp of domestic drilling that we've seen in 2 years. This is a $20+ stock at peak cycle - a potential "3 Bagger" sitting here: 2 year chart quote.yahoo.com Good general fundametnals - not that heavilly laden with debt, good valution fundamentals & in the sweetspot of onshore workover drilling services - fluids, mats etc. This is a tag along play with KEG SESI and the land drillers - as NR provides their service to these companies - NR's valuation lag & gap to the allready recovered KEG SESI etc will close - $10 on this leg and a nice buy & hold play to the teens - $20's within 12-18 mos imho. <<Newpark Resources, Inc. is a provider of proprietary environmental services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, primarily in the U. NR - get it. Get it Large.Get it now. The BOOM 2000 Train is now loading the small cap cart - worth a "play" on the rumor here imho - given virtually no downside and the mid-cycle area that we're entering in which the small caps usually get picked up here... a nice safe play the rumor bet imho.
