Yes, nVidia has been making significant inroads, but not all at the expense of ATI. Notice that many of the companies listed had decreased market share (including nVidia), whereas ATI stayed where it was. Mind you, the actual units sold increased for everyone, including some of those that declined!

Yes, in hindsight, I would much rather have owned NVDA over ATY this past year. But that doesn't make ATY a bad company or a bad investment given the current share price. All I'm trying to point out is that given your comments at face value and no further explanation, it would be cause for dumping the stock right away. As it stands, the company's future is not as bad as you made it out to be.

had only those numbers to work with which company would you
buy today (in 1997)knowing their future revenues in advance:
