Missed Estimates Comments:

FWIW: James Cramer, of thestreet.com fame, stated on an AOL chat (transcript at thestreet.com) last night that he is convinced that "qcom" will miss its number. If the market perceives a missed quarterly number, then that would explain the drop.

I moved out to Jan 2002 instead of Jan 2001. But, you can't help being deeply depressed over this matter. The CDMA adoption was part of the China deal with the US. I guess its the first deal that China breaks after PMTR (what is that, one day-must be a new record). The stress is killing me. I don't want to sell ocvered calls because when it moves/if it moves, it will move fast.

One analyst says 200; I'd be happy with 140-150 by Dec.

MM and thread - The Great Clinton/Gore Crash - Every day for the past couple of weeks people have been waking up and shorting or buying puts on Q and over 70% off the time they have made serious returns in a day. It must have been the easiest money those people have ever made and was like Christmas. There must literally have been $billions made inthe last ten trading days.

Not for those of us that are long term Q supporters and in love with the technology or the fundamentals though. For most of us the last ten days have been unadulterated unending misery.

This will end.

this is not the end of the markets.

This is not the end of the growth of the economy.

Read the press announcement from the Q on Friday carefully. The shorts have had some fun on our misery.....thier time will not last forever.

Best regards,

L
