Stock outlook: futures are firming, overseas is strong, we are past memorial day. I have a sense that we are close to the bottom of this correction, debacle or whatever you wish to call it. The recovery will not be straight up, a lot of damage has been done and needs time to heal. The two most important things that i see are 1. a sign that the IPO market is getting some life. CNBC covered that today, and many money managers agreed: we need to rebuilt confidence in the IPO market to get a significant turn. 2. Greenie needs to indicate that we are approaching the end of the interest rate hikes. The economy is still growing, but we are starting to see signs that the hikes are doing their job: slowing a very strong economy before it becomes a runaway with hyper inflation. When we get these two conditions, and buyer confidence, this market will explode, thought not likely till September or later. jmho. larry
