RE:"SNDK is on my watch list too as well as covad.

I think the market is finding anything to worry about.

We will likely see a bottom in next few weeks once it becomes clear what fed's gonna do.

I can still see a 50 point raise, but as long as its the LAST move up, will cause the market to rally big time."

Your right on....
I guess I've lived through a lot more bear markets than most here. I've owned stocks since 1974. Or maybe all your stocks never got trashed in a bear market, mine sure have. <G>

Also, I don't have a lot of sympathy for those playing options...that's not really investing. If one plays with fire, expect to get burned every now and then rather than cry about Greenspan...(not sure if this applies to you).

As far as this market...the fed has been raising rates since LAST JUNE...so why is everyone just now waking up?
I've also learned that over the long run, earnngs matter the most, so consider AMDs price here a gift, more of a gift should it go lower.
The main bad scenario I can think of is that this bear market becomes protracted, depressing AMDs stock price until Intel brings Willy AND Willy is all it's supposed to be.
Another less concerning thing would be some kind of production problems for T-bird and Duron...but AMD has had a LONG time to work that out.

Kash,
RE:"I can still see a 50 point raise, but as long as its the LAST move up, will cause the market to rally big time."

Typically the markets start to turn up about 4-6 weeks before the last hike. I can't be sure of course but I think we'll see at least 2 more hikes. .5% in June and .25-.5% in August. If the last one is in June, we should be buying right now. With T-bird and Duron, you should definitely be buying AMD right now.

Also, if you look at '94, the markets tank pretty quickly after hike fever hits and basically retests that low while the rest of the hikes occur.
What I do is use TA to tell me when the last hike is in.
