++, Buying warrants and selling stock against them in a paired trade is one of the best low risk strategies going. Also, buying the warrants and shorting in the money calls against them is a smart do. Both strategies put pressure on the common. I don't think that is the main problem for Ligand's stock, but it doesn't help. I will have to become familiar with the various preferreds on FCX again. I haven't looked at it since I sold at a profit about 18 months ago.
