Of course, of course, of course. If that IPO markup went to the new business, then it would be
legitimate. But it just went to the brokers and their favored friends. I am very glad that the
idiots (there's that "i" word again) who drove up the IPO's rocket climb are eating their 10x,
or should make that minus 10x.

The float was kept low during these IPOs. They were lower then any time in history. This not only was a benefit to the brokers but the insiders such as the VCs as well. There was a person on this thread that seemed to be able to obtain IPO shares at well through apparent connections. Is that person a thief too?
