They just experience volatility, not declines, drops, or falls.

from the rap!! LOL... absolutely ROFLMAO... some numbnut said bear mkts are a myth... REALLY.... LOL!!

One less thing to keep track of. . . A story passed on Bloomberg that a friend sent to me written by David Pauly entitled "Worried About a Bear Market for Stocks? Don't." There are a few quotes that are so priceless, I have to share them:

"Delete 'bear market' from the vocabulary of the stock trade. The lightning speed at which share prices move has rendered it obsolete." Got that? Here's another quote, attributed to long-time stock market observer Yale Hirsch, "'The old-fashioned bear market certainly is dead.'"

Pauly then goes on to opine that, "The bear market should wander off to the land of the myth, but old ideas have a way of lingering." All I can say is, those are some of the most dangerous quotes I've ever read or heard. It just goes to show how powerful this mania has become if a long-time observer like Yale Hirsch can be seduced into making a statement like that. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just ask the folks who are long so many high-flying tech, biotech and penny stocks. When we get around to smashing the big cap techs that have held up so far, many of which have been bent but not broken, it will be impossible to make claims like this.
