"Good money driving out bad" will force everyone to the DM anyway... I think the reason many of the countries threw in was that so many loans had to be made in DM anyway, so they figured the Euro is better than the DM. I believe it will hold. Should be interesting though.

I think the powers that be have to be thinking about action now -- if they are forward looking at all. The US doesn't have an unlimited ability to absorb their goods -- polictymakers there know this
