I always try to "practice what I preach", and settle things peacefully if possible. Of course, that is not always possible in extreme cases, and some people just do not try hard enough or do not care, so violence breaks out.
I have nothing against the Cuban people at all, and only wish them the best. It is a shame though that many are now thoroughly "brainwashed" and misguided, but we have the same problem here in America in our own way..... Yogi
