Hi Pi,

Very Machiavellian.

So you say it wasn't CC but analysts, (who are telling everyone else to buy) unloading because of Lucent and margins -- they will buy back cheaper. How cheap? It seems pretty cheap already. I just don't like this whole thing. Why should Westell be a yo-yo? It's involved in an ascendant technology that is now rapidly being deployed and it is a major supplier worldwide.

The FED is creating a very unhealthy economic environment if this is the new game in town -- short sell mania. To some extent I hope you are wrong with how low, low may be.
(Read:'I HATE TECHS' Bug Bites Wall Street dailynews.yahoo.com for a cheerful story).

Market manipulation by CC or analysts just stinks and it's high time WSTL spoke for itself with press announcements and stops being the silent dog to the telcos, something I've never totally understood.

On the yahoo thread, the Wall_Street_Cowboy said he spoke to Marc Zionts yesterday reaffirming a rosy picture for WSTL's future. He claims that CC has been long WSTL, (I'm not sure I believe that). If that is true, then your scenario seems more likely.

I'm not really sure what to believe. I think WSTL is in the right place now, but is unfortunately in a negative market environment for stocks. Its earnings and contracts will have to speak for themselves as I think they will do, eventually. (How long will that be I wonder?)

Thanks for your insights. I hope some of them are wrong and that WSTL has seen the end of the downside.

Michael
