<<I have been in with most my money for 6 months. I am not disagreeing with you. But would like to mention that I have nothing to whine about.>>

I have had a similar experience. I made my first tentative tech investments last July but didn't move significant amounts of money into the sector until about six months ago. I would be lying if I said that the nearly one third drop in the value of my portfolio since March didn't bother me but the longer term view is hopeful. Today my portfolio is up 27% compared with 6 months ago and up 61% compared to 12 months ago. I have heard of people doing a lot worse, including a few heavily margined individuals who were washed out of the market completely in April.

N.B.- mine is not a pure tech portfolio. I hold a much smaller percentage of energy exploration and service stocks and mutual funds and have added to those holdings in the last month. Their performance has helped of late.
