Thanks, Zeev. There are about 7000 2002's in terms of open interest (about 5500 at strike prices of 200 or over), and much less for 2001's (which, technically are not leaps anymore). This would cover just a tiny slice of the shorts, assuming that they were held entirely by shorts, which we know is not the case.

I agree that a second squeeze is unusual, but so was the 68-470 initial squeeze. Never in my years in the market had I seen so many people short such a dangerous stock. Now, we are edging closer to where it will become difficult to deny that RDRAM will prevail.

I do believe, however, that with the intial 5 million shorts blown out, the squeeze will not be as violent. Nevertheless, I hope we will be able to rely on the turnips to help us ride the wave when it comes.
