Yah. Sometimes MJ calls me "A focking scientist." "You're a focking scientist," with a kind of sneer. If it's me and Dash, it's "A coupla focking scientists." "Pure genius," sometimes, too; she kind of slurs, and stops you in your tracks. "Did she say Impure?" "I don't think she really thinks we're geniuses. Genie-i." Assesses your assessment. Or, she'll say, "Probably." When you've stood around and verbalized all the possibilities. Sheesh. It's intimidating. I don't think science can work under these kinds of conditions.

Dunno' if he's comin' or not. He says he's looking for a window in June or July. I started to tell him if he has a window in Houston in June or July, it'd better be closed and the air conditioner goin' full blast. Armadillos sometimes root around in the grass up at the lake. They like to find little edibles near the shoreline. Must have a taste for flotsam or jetsam. Somebody told me the difference one time. I think flotsam floats away and ends up on the shore and jetsam is stuff that people chunk that ends up on the shore. Water is about right temperature for goofin' around now. Later it'll be too warm for me. Grand-daughters like it a little warmer. The 6 yr old was jumping off the pier last Saturday and shivering when she climbed back up. I woulda' thought science was some of your fort‚, what with your interest in horticulture and rusty schitte and schtuff. Probably could do a dissertation on cat behavior and get a PhD.
