Hey Cowgirl, you're my new girlfriend

I don't know about this China/CDMA mess. I think it's going to take a long time to play out and we have to deal with strong European powers that seem to have the ear of Wall Street these days.

The Chinese are going to be slow to make significant infrastructure decisions. I think the best thing we have going for us right now is that they don't have to really scrap a system as do the Europeans. They clearly have intelligent engineers analyzing the system buildup and everybody in his right mind knows that most efficient and sensible path to 3G goes through Qualcomm.

I just have faith in Jacobs. The problem is, though, that American politicians on the scene right now are lightweights. At least Gore tested his international skills with the Russians over Kosovo. Little George Bush? Give me a break. He may be more supericial than Clinton. Certainly more superficial than his father.

I wish Gore would get his act together. He seems to be the toughest of them all. But didn't he quit law school?

God, what rank amateurs we have running the show right now.

Also, at this point we have to deal with a China Unicom IPO and road show that does not seem to be getting ready to focus on Qualcomm technology. That will just add to the short-term FUD engulfing Qualcomm. Yikes!

Quite simply, we need HDR demonstrations at this point. That could lead to the cover of Time Magazine. Ooooohhhhh!
