I think it IS the same for both males and females- although what is done to females is more dramatic. After all they don't lop the penis OFF in male circumcision (at least they aren't supposed to) whereas in contrast getting rid of the pesky clitoris (an analogous structure to the penis) is the point in female circumcision.

So WHAT is your point?

BTW- WHERE IS MY SEXIST POST??????

I have already made it clear that I am opposed to both male and female circumcision.
The technical labels are not something I invented. The procedure for men is known as circumcision, for women it is called female genital mutilation, probably because what is done is far more dramatic and severe.
You tell me what the equivalent for a man to the female process of infibulation would be, and incidentally, please note the sexist reasoning in the following...

This most extreme form, consists of the removal of the clitoris, the adjacent labia (majora and minora), and the joining of the scraped sides of the vulva across the vagina, where they are secured with thorns or sewn with catgut or thread. A small opening is kept to allow passage of urine and menstrual blood. An infibulated woman must be cut open to allow intercourse on the wedding night and is closed again afterwards to secure fidelity to the husband.

In your efforts to insult me, you are losing the ability to reason.
