Mnai,

You invested in high-risk options and lost your shirt, deal with it!

As I've stated numerous times, I'm up 600% since the first of the year.

AG is a moron.

Mani, RE: "Respect the market, it will take your heart out!"

So true. The market has absolutely no heart. The story that was posted earlier about the person who invested in two stocks that went south was sad - the market will hurt anyone who makes a miscalculation.

It's easy to invest in a market where the Internet is growing/booming, or when we work in high-tech or are at startups where we are very in-tune with the high-tech economy, but I wonder what it will be like later on in life, like after the Internet & wireless boom? What if (way later in life) biotech becomes the only high-growth venue - I do not know anything about biotech.

Sometimes I wonder about possible later-in-life investment strategies like buying puts on the money from writing covered calls. Anyone have any thoughts on this strategy?
