Ken, I do like it when The Striking Price gives some insight into what some of the players are doing. Borgato also said that the fundamentals of the company are a cornerstone to initiating an options position such as a covered straddle and I agree. Wether the market will agree with your particular timeframe makes the risk/reward analysis very tough, but you have to have the FA done as best you can in order to take advantage of what you may percieve as a good trade. High options premiums are very tempting to write on both sides of stocks that you own or want to own, but market pressures and timing with large volatility in the underlying on reduced market volume makes for some interesting times ahead and hopefully some profitable options plays in the coming months.
