Marc: "The real tough question is if we will reach 74-75 again in the QQQ before it takes off and how to make the tough decision of getting a great price without risking following the rally on the sideline"

An "Average Down" strategy
One option would be to place a series of equal-size buy orders with limit prices incrementing from say 77 (or whatever the open price is, if it is lower) down to 74. Then if QQQ only hits 76 and goes no lower, you purchase half as much as if QQQ hits 74. In the best case scenario you would fill your quota for an average price of 75.5.

I will probably use this strategy but will reserve the option of adjusting the price distribution of my orders depending on market condition and my own fear-vs.-greed ratio.<g>

Boy, I wish I knew the answer to this one. I already loaded up on QQQs Wednesday morning.

I think you should remember that Bob has set his buy point by his decision to purchase in line with what he saw in the market. He liked the purchase from Naz 3040 to Naz 3174. So anytime the market is in that area, one should be making their respective purchases in the QQQs. Also, the minimum expectation for this trade is 20%. So, one may make the argument that purchases made a bit higher will also produce a nice return regardless. My own opinion would be that anything under $80 is a reasonable entry point.

would love to see weakness in the NAZ 100 futures tonight with some foreign weakness leading to a weak QQQ opening. Could make for a nice quick purchase instead of watching and worrying about every tick over the next week. Of course those who have already made their purchase would be happy with up, up and away
