If you are interested check out iedm proceedings. I read somewhere about several novel NV approaches were detailed there.

I think you are referring to my conversation with zoran on the AMD board. I did check iedm and JJAP, but didn't see anything at all about nv memory. Even if there was, lab bench fiddling is a long ways from where OUM is. There have been a few nv development projects in the trade news, mostly magnetic designs (5 years off) and the Hitachi PLEDM thing, which is rather exotic and expensive and many years off.

The other question one would have is whether the technology does offer unlimited r/w otherwise it will not work for DRAM replacement either (fine for magnetic memory replacement however).

I don't think this is a problem. That's what I was told at ECD, and I believe it.
