It might be interesting to see what Kryotech can do with a T-bird or a Mustang.

Good point. We have not heard much from the Kryotech folks lately, I guess mainly because overclocking 1 GHz Athlon doesn't deliver performance proportional to clock speed increase, since they probably have to set even more conservative divisor for L2.

But overclocking Thunderbird and Mustang should be deliver good gains in performance. I can't wait to see the first 1 GHz Thunderbird reviews, hopefully with some overclocking info. It should give us a hint about the performance limit of this particular iteration.

Isn't it interesting that the cycles of the new revisions seem to be shortening. We had .25u Athlon go to .18 in about 6 months. In the next 6 months we have new cores (Duron Thunderbird) new copper process, in less than 6 months we will have another set of new cores, and in less than 6 months, a shrink to .13u.
