but 1 is over a period of a few hours...another a few days and the other a month. there really aren't THAT many different patterns. all of those need to be put into context of what happened before they occurred and how they fit in......ie. anyone of those occuring after the initial run up got started back in October 1998 could have been a controlled pullback with more fireworks UP to come

I went back and looked at that time period for number 2
and as a matter of fact and record there was an absolute textbook ending diagonal wave forming at that time which David picked within a few pennies on the S&P, the completion of that chart shows one more up and then another low shortly thereafter..........it all needs to be put in context.

in the much bigger picture.....i have never been more certain than I am now of the following:.. the S&P WILL see 1190 minimum in the not tooooooo distant future

as I have spewed here, the possibility of 1600+ still exists
....and actually I would like to see it cause I have a pretty good spot for it to end.....regardless, -1190 IS coming.
