John--The Warsh column is excellent. It gives a good example of the type of behavior that the DOJ (correctly) believes must be stopped. Current laws do not permit MSFT to use a monopoly position in one market to force consumers to use their product in another market. I don't think the Kerberos example was part of the DOJ's complaint, but maybe it will be part of the next lawsuit. It was a particularly bad piece of timing on the part of BillG, MSFT's Chief Legal Architect, to pick this fight with Slashdot right now, as it gives yet another example of MSFT's bullying and arrogant disregard for antitrust law. I had been opposed to a breakup, but I'm beginning to change my mind.
